Happy birthday Suman

Yesteryears stylish hero Suman, well-known these days for his villainous roles in Sivaji: The Boss, Kuruvi, Aegan, Padikathavan and Sagar Alias Jackie Reloded, celebrates his birthday today (August 28).

Born in 1959 in Andhra Pradesh, Suman is the only son of Susheel Chander and the late Kesari Chander. He started his career as a karate master and debuted in films as a police officer in Tamil movie Neechal Kulam (1977).

In a career spanning more than three decades, he has acted more than 150 films as a hero in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and English. His mother tongue is Tulu and he can speak Telugu, Tulu, Malayalam, English, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi fluently.

Suman is currently busy with Malayalam superstar Mammootty's�magnum opus historical film Pazhassi Raja, directed by ace director Hariharan and scripted by literary giant M.T. Vasudevan Nair. In this film, he plays the villain, Pazhaiveetan Chandu. His other ongoing films are Karthikai and Murattu Kaalai (Tamil).
