A massive film in the making already, Thalapathy 63, starring Vijay in the lead role under Atlee’s direction has been announced to hit screens as a Diwali release in October under the AGS Entertainment banner.

The third venture for Vijay and Atlee together after their Theri and Mersal, Thalapathy 63 also includes music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman and is a multistarrer with Nayanthara playing the female lead followed by Kathir, Vivek, Jackie Shroff, Indhuja, Daniel Balaji, Anandaraj, Yogi Babu, Reba Monica John among others in pivotal roles.

With production already underway at a steady pace, it has now been revealed that actress Devadarshini has now joined Thalapathy 63 and will be seen playing Vijay’s elder sister in the film with her portions said to be primarily more family-centric.

It must noted that she was last seen in the recently-released Muni 4: Kanchana 3 including delivering a commendable performance in last year’s smash romantic hit, 96.

Thalapathy 63 is one of the most exciting films in recent times as it will feature Vijay as the coach of the Tamil Nadu women’s football team with a huge set resembling a stadium recently erected for shooting purposes.
