As known already, production resumed earlier this week on Vijay’s upcoming film, Thalapathy 62.
Vijay 62 being directed by A. R. Murugadoss under the Sun Pictures banner will feature music by Oscar Winner A. R. Rahman and Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead.
In addition, actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has been cast in a pivotal role alongside veteran actor Radha Ravi as the antagonist and, Yogi Babu and Livingston in supporting roles.
Meanwhile, composer turned actor G. V. Prakash Kumar had recently in an interview revealed he had sung a song for A. R. Rahman and that an announcement would follow up soon.
Upon being queried if the track was for Thalapathy 62, GVP stated he doesn’t know yet and it is up to A. R. Rahman to decide.
It must be noted G. V. Prakash has previously scored music twice for Vijay’s films starting with Thalaivaa in 2013.
The action blockbuster, Theri, released in 2016 turned out to be extra special for him as it was also his 50th film as a composer.
Furthermore, GVP had sung the hit "Mersal Arasan" in last year’s Mersal composed by his uncle A. R. Rahman.
