G. V. Prakash Kumar, as known to all by now, has made a big name for himself in the Tamil film industry starting off as a composer and then transitioning towards acting.
The composer turned actor, who has his hands full with multiple projects for the year ahead has now been bestowed with a prestigious honor by the St. Andrews Theological University International.
GVP has now been awarded a honorary doctorate for his efforts in social services by the St. Andrews Theological University International - be it the Jallikattu protests or the Cauvery crisis, the young talent has stood out in the industry.
His wife and singer Saindhavi took to Twitter to express her elation over her husband being honored saying it was a "proud moment" for the entire family.

On the professional front, GV Prakash will next be seen in the rural entertainer, Sema, hitting screens next week on May 25.
