You know they say one never knows the value of something until it’s snatched away? What does freedom mean in today’s context? The pretty faces sparkling in front of the all-seeing camera, tell us what it means to them and just how much they value it...

Amala Paul: Freedom is the capability and ability to remain true to yourself and those around you. It is the right to choose and live my way of life, so long as that doesn’t hinder or hurt others.

Taapsee: Freedom is being able to make my own decisions and do what I feel is right. I should not do something just because everyone else thinks I should do it. Freedom is being able to make my own mistakes and learn from them.

Parvathy Omanakuttan: It means to be myself at all times without having to think about the opinions from the outside world. It is to be the true YOU on the outside from within.

Chinmayi: I have a lot of freedom in my mind. And my freedom is not in the hands of anyone. Thankfully. You are as free as you want to be, but I would also like to add, you are lucky if your freedom is in your own hands. Most of us are not free even in our minds. There are too many shackles.

Ganesh Venketraman: Freedom to me is living my dreams and living with no boundaries. To live a fulfilling life, pursuing my dreams and living to my full potential. Freedom is a state of mind too, and I don’t allow myself to think I cannot do something.
