RJ Balaji’s debut film as hero, LKG, has finally hit screens today with a sound start in theatres across Tamil Nadu. His role as Lalgudi Karuppiah Gandhi, the protagonist is fetching him a great response with appreciations from all corners.

In an exclusive interview to Galatta, the film’s cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna was all praises for RJ Balaji and expressed his gratitude to popular RJ turned comedian turned hero for offering him the opportunity to work in LKG.

Vidhu Ayyanna further went on to state RJ Balaji was the best choice for the film and that neither Vijay nor Ajith could have pulled off this role since LKG is a political satire, which would require us to change the script that will fit their image.

The Meyaadha Maan cinematographer then concluded saying the story of LKG was best conveyed with the common man, RJ Balaji, as the lead, who is also the writer of the film and carried it with ease and delivered a stellar performance overall.
