NGK got off to a shaky start as the movie got mixed reviews from the critics and the fans as well. But the movie started to gain momentum in the coming days as fans started to decode the movie which helped in a big way. And now, In an exclusive interview with Galatta, Selvaraghavan himself has spoken about the hidden secrets behind NGK and many more.

In an interesting question about NGK's initial mixed reviews, Selvaraghavan said,

"People are very brilliant nowadays, they are passionate and hungry for such things. They will appreciate these things when we feed them right. There are movies coming out every week and I think there was some hesitation on how to handle NGK when they first saw and that was the reason for the mixed reviews in the first half a day of the release. But from the second half of the release day to till now, people realized that there is something in this movie. People started to think that there is a lot to discuss and a lot to take home from the movie.

It is a fantastic thing and I am very happy that people are thinking this way. I have been waiting for a day like this where people discuss and explore various aspects of a film. Even from Thulluvadho Ilamai.. this is the first time I am experiencing this.

When we were shooting I was afraid whether people will understand are not but with God's grace people understood the film within the first 10 hours."
