If there's one crime that the entire film industry unanimously is fighting against, it is the online movie piracy and DVD piracy. Not long ago, around 50k pirated DVDs worth Rs 25 lakhs were seized in Salem. However, even after untiring efforts from the Nadigar Sangam members' side, this issue continues to exist.

Last evening saw one such incident reported in Salem. A case was filed against Sri Sai Cassettes, for the illegal sale of pirated DVDs, under the Copy Right Act of 1957. The complaint was issued by Mr. Kailulla, a member of the South Indian Artists Association, Salem. Several pirated of DVDs of recent Tamil movies like Vikram Vedhaa, Magalir Mattum, Thupparivalan etc, were seized.

The anti video piracy cell has been working meticulously to put an end to video piracy in Tamil Nadu.
