One of the most ambitious biopics in the making, Keerthy Suresh’s upcoming film is said to be a trilingual being made in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.


Titled Mahanati in Telugu and Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil, the film is based on the life of legendary south Indian actress Savitri with Keerthy Suresh portraying the lead role.

Being directed by Nag Ashwin, Mahanati also features actor Samantha Akkineni in a vital role.


Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan, who happens to be a popular face in Tamil cinema too stars in Nadigaiyar Thilagam portraying the role of iconic Tamil actor Gemini Ganesan, who was lovingly called by fans as 'Kadhal Mannan'.


In addition, Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda, who went on to become a sensation after starring in films like Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy is also playing an important role in Mahanati.


Actor Shalini Pandey, after delivering a stunning performance in her debut Arjun Reddy last year, too has landed a starring role in Nadigaiyar Thilagam.


Meanwhile, filming has been ongoing for months and it now looks like production is coming to a finish soon. Prodution house Vyjayanthi Movies have confirmed on Twitter that Dulquer Salmaan has wrapped up filming his portions in Mahanati.

With Dulquer done, we can expect other stars to follow suit and shooting to be completed soon.
