Drohi on July 17

Renowned director Gautham Menon's super hit Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam (2007), starring body builder-turned-actor Sarathkumar, Andrea and Jyotika in the lead roles, is being dubbed in Telugu as Drohi by Ramana, Simham and Neeraj under the banner of SVR Media. Harris Jayaraj has scored the music. The film is set to release on July 17.

The film revolves around Venkat (Sarath), a medical representative, happily married to Kalyani (Andrea) with a son. Their contented and placidlives go for a tosswhen their son falls sick. Kalyani begins to spend more time with their son and starts to ignore her husband involuntarily. Venkat, feeling a bit lonely and neglected, continues his monotonous life without complaining much.

One morning, while travelling by local train to work, Venkat notices Geetha (Jyotika) and spends a few seconds admiring her. The following day, again he happens to stand next to her. And Geetha begins a conversation with Venkat. Both are married with kids; they feel they have a lot in common between them andtheir friendship blooms. At first, it is platonic and they meet only in the train, but slowly, they start meeting at restaurants and coffee shops.

Geetha begins to get a little physically close to Venkat; she suggeststhey spend a day together, watching movies or something alone. Venkat agrees and they take a taxi and drive to Mayajaal on East Coast Road. But at the last minute, Geetha changes her mind and directs the taxi driver to go to a resort along the same road. What happens next forms thecrux of the film.
