25, October 2016:

Party cadres were asked not to meet Dr. Karunanidhi as he is having allergies due to the medicines he has been consuming.

 

1, December 2016:

Dr. Karunanidhi was admitted to Kauvery Hospital due to dehydration and lower level of nutrition.

 

7, December 2016:

After treatment, Dr. Karunanidhi returned home.

 

15, December 2016:

Dr. Karunanidhi was admitted to Kauvery hospital as he was suffering from cold.

 

23, December 2016:

Treatment was given with Tracheostomy device to Dr. Karunanidhi to make breathing easy and returned home after treatment.


16, August 2017:

Was taken to the hospital to change the Tracheostomy device. Returned home on the same day.


31, January 2018:

Was taken to a hospital at Teynampet due to tooth pain.

 

7, February 2018:

Went to the hospital for an eye check-up.

 

26, July 2018:

Special treatment was given at his home at Gopalapuram. Was admitted to Kauvery hospital as due to urinary tract infection.

 

6, August 2018:

Kauvery hospital released a press note stating that there has been a decline in the health condition of Dr. Kalaignar and the doctors are continuously working to improve his health. The press release also said, “His response to the medical intervention over the next 24 hours will determine the prognosis.”


7, August 2018:

4.30 PM: The hospital released another press note stating that the Dr. Karunanidhi’s health condition is critical and unstable.
