Nayanthara has already had three releases in the first six months of 2019 in the form of Viswasam (January), Airaa (March), and Mr.Local (May). It is now time for the release of the fourth film and it is going to be Kolaiyuthir Kaalam. This Chakri Toleti directorial is all set to release on June 14th, coming Friday, along with few other releases including Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja, Suttu Pudikka Utharavu, Taapsee's Game Over, etc. Talking about Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, the film has been under the production for a long time due to various issues. The film's production changed hands during the filming and post-production stages and the project is now owned by Mathiyazhagan of Etcetra Entertainment.

Nayanthara plays a deaf and dumb character in this intense thriller which has cinematography by Corey Geryak and editing by Rameshwar S Bhagat. When the film's trailer launch event happened, earlier this year, it was said that the event was conducted without Nayanthara's knowledge. Following the confusion over the issue and the film's release. director Vignesh Shivn has now let out an official statement to address about it.

He has clarified that the issues between Nayanthara's side and the production unit has been sorted out and is eagerly awaiting to see the film. He was also all praise for producer Mathiyazhagan's intent to release the film amidst so many controversies and problems around it.

His statement reads, "Regarding Kolaiyudhir Kaalam & Mr.Mathiyazhagan. Wishing the best for the film's worldwide release. Watched the film and felt it is a complete one and a good thriller for the audience to enjoy. Thrillers being the flavour of the season, am sure this movie will get the acknowledgement it deserves. Solid performances from the lead Nayanthara and all the other cast. Sincere efforts from the crew helmed by Chakri to bring out a technically sleek and strong movie.

Pleased to see a producer having this much of care and affinity towards his product. Mr.Mathiyazhagan's sincere efforts to give the film a good release shows his conviction for a good content. Personally, we've had some bitter moments which I feel was unfortunate and unnecessary but end of the day it all takes a good conversation to end things on the right note.

We all work in the same industry and it is always good to have the good will and positivity floating around always. With that thought, I wish the best for Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, a successful run at the box office. Mainly for the conviction of Mr.Mathi. Cheers! Hope audience support this film like always.

God Bless!
Vignesh Shivn."

The TSK director and Nayanthara are currently on a vacation to Santorini, Greece. Nayanthara also has films like Thalapathy 63 and Darbar in her kitty, while Vignesh's next will be with Sivakarthikeyan.
