Superstar Rajinikanth recently wrapped up the first schedule of Darbar, that is directed by A.R.Murugadoss. The second schedule of this action entertainer will begin from the 29th of this month. Meanwhile, there were rumours about the legend's next film and it was speculated that he will be doing the sequel of Baba.

It was also added that director K.S.Ravikumar will head the project. When we got in touch with the Padaiyappa director, he vehemently denied the news. He replied, "No. It is not at all true", thereby putting an end to the rumours. Ravikumar also added that he is currently busy with the pre-production work of his next Telugu film with Balakrishna that is to take off later this year.

Talking about Baba, the film didn't fare quite well at the box office but had a striking opening for the first few days due to its pre-release buzz. The final result of the film wasn't favourable due to the mixed reviews but it was and shall always remain special for a certain section of fans. Of course, it is one film that would stay close to Rajinikanth, for his belief in spirituality.

The film's story was penned by the Superstar himself, while ace director Suresh Krissna helmed the project. The iconic Baba symbol became a sensation post the film's release, and the symbol is, even today, used as the logo of the Rajini Makkal Mandram.
