Popular actor Soubin Shahir is basking in the glory of the success of his latest film, Kumbalangi Nights. He played the eldest of a family of four brothers in the much appreciated family entertainer. Now the actor has another big project in his kitty. He will be seen playing the lead role in upcoming film Joothan. He plays a jew in this intriguing movie by noted director Bhadran.

The film marks the director's comeback to Malayalam films after a huge gap of 14 years. Bhadran shared that he was in awe of Soubin's performance in award-winning Malayalam film Sudani From Nigeria. Soubin was ideal to play the jew's role as he had a high-voltage energy in him, said the director. The movie will narrate Soubin's character's relationship with Jesitta, shared Bhadran.

Bhadran is known for his superhit movie, Spadikam starring Mohanlal, Silk Smitha, Thilakan and Manju Warrrier.
