If there’s one actor in Tamil Nadu who generates massive curiosity on his each and every single move, it has got to be 'Thalapathy' Vijay, as the star has over the years crafted an image so exclusive that his fans just can’t seem to get enough of him.

Likewise, every project he embarks on creates a huge talk irrespective of whether it is a mere rumor or an actual ongoing production.

Similarly, there has been much talk surrounding his next project, tentatively being called Thalapathy 63, for quite some time now.

Initially, there were reports stating Thani Oruvan and Velaikkaran director Mohan Raja, whom Vijay collaborated with in the smash hit, Velayudham, would be teaming up with the 'Thalapathy' of Tamil cinema.

Then, there were reports stating filmmaker H. Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru fame was a potential candidate to helm Thalapathy 63.

Rumors later sprung up stating National Award-winning filmmaker Vetrimaaran would be collaborating with Vijay, which were soon dismissed.

Having said that, there is new chatter stating director Ameer would be resurrecting his Kannabiran script, which he had written a long time back for Vijay exclusively.

That being said, it seems those reports are once again nothing more than just mere rumors and that Vijay would only begin listening to the script for his next film only in June.

As of now, Vijay is hard at work for his upcoming Diwali release, Thalapathy 62, alongside Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as the female leads under A. R. Murugadoss’s direction being produced by Sun Pictures with music by A. R. Rahman.
