May 26th marks a special day for the combo of Dhanush and Selvaraghavan as their political gangster film Pudhupettai released on the date thirteen years ago. With Dhanush, the film starred Sneha and Sonia Agarwal as the lady lead with many others playing important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for Pudhupettai with the album being a hit.

Pudhupettai received mixed reviews initially but the film went on to become a cult film in later years. Pudhupettai is indeed a cult classic and is considered as one of the best films made in Tamil cinema.
