Dhanush, who is an active person on social media made an interesting comment on Thursday after the Australia vs West Indies match at the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Dhanush tweeted,

"I hope that umpire is happy who dint want West Indies to win at any cost !! #congratsumpire .. well fought windies. Had to be looked into. #icc poor umpiring at its level best. Oh biased as well."

The tweet comes after the West Indies batsman Chris Gayle was dismissed in controversial circumstances during the fifth over of the WI's innings. When Australia's Mithel Starck bowled the third over of the innings and on the fifth ball Gayle was given out caught behind but managed to reverse the decision after appealing for a review. Again, Gayle was given out LBW the next ball but the batsman reviewed the decision which also went his way. However, the batsman ran out of luck and was given LBW on the 5th ball of the fifth over bowled by Starc again. Gayle reviewed the decision for the third time but the decision went in favour of the bowler this time.

As Gayle walked back to the pavilion, a replay showed that the ball before the dismissal was actually a big no ball as Starc overstepped the bowling crease eventually making the wicket delivary a free-hit. The defending champions went on to win the game by 15 runs. (AUS 288/10 (49.0) - WI 273/9 (50.0)). The incident took the center stage as fans and celebrities started to crtisixe the umpires for their bad decision.
