Dhanush recently attended the trailer launch of The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir (Indian version) recently in Mumbai and on the same day, the trailer of the Tamil dubbed version, titled Pakkiri, was also released. Post the launch even, Dhanush, while talking to a popular media house in Bollywood, stated that he is most likely to remake the superhit Bollywood thriller, AndhaDhun, which released last year. Dhanush was quoted as saying, "Andhadhun is a brilliant film and we have already started the process of acquiring the rights. It’s one of those thrillers which I wouldn’t mind remaking in Tamil."

This Sriram Raghavan directorial was a big hit at the worldwide box office that also became a rage, especially in the China trade circle. This black comedy thriller starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte in lead roles, with ace actor Tabu playing a pivotal role. The film got rave reviews from the audience and the critics for its strong writing and gripping screenplay. It is definitely going to be interesting to see Dhanush fit into the shoes of Ayushmann as a blind musician.

Dhanush is someone who is known for taking up challenging roles and this would be an exciting film to watch out for if things materialises. The project is in the discussion stages and we can expect an official word from Dhanush once things get firmed up. Dhanush is right now shooting for Vetri Maaran's Asuran, which he considers to be one of the toughest films ever, in terms of performance and making.

Apart from Asuran, Dhanush also has an untitled project each with directors Durai Senthilkumar, Mari Selvaraj, Ramkumar of Ratsasan fame, Karthik Subbaraj, and others.
