An exciting film right from the moment of its announcement, Asuran, sees the reunion of the National Award-winning duo, filmmaker Vetrimaaran and actor Dhanush, for the fourth time after their previous films, Polladhavan, Aadukalam and last year’s action gangster drama, Vada Chennai.
Asuran includes Manju Warrier playing the female lead alongside Pasupathy, filmmaker Balaji Sakthivel in supporting roles under Kalaipuli S. Thanu’s V Creations banner with music by G. V. Prakash Kumar and is most likely being planned for a theatrical release later this year.
Meanwhile, with production being carried forward at a brisk pace, composer G. V. Prakash, for whom the film is his 71st in his career, has now given an update saying the compositions are in progress while also revealing something very special will be made known to fans soon.
Asuran is an adaptation of the Tamil novel "Vekkai" with expectations for the film massive already considering it is said Dhanush will be seen in dual roles for the second time after Kodi in 2016.
