A film that was initially supposed to arrive on screens on the 27th of this month, 'Superstar' Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated action gangster film, Kaala, coming out on the said date was under question owing to the TFPC strike which finally came to an end earlier this week.
For a while now, there has been much debate on when Kaala would release if the makers decided to postpone their initial plans. And, a decision has now been made.
Dhanush, the producer of Kaala, under his Wunderbar Films banner, took to his Twitter page to formally announce a new release date for the film, which will now come out on June 7.
Reports were rife over the past few days Kaala could probably hit theatres on June 14 as a Ramzan release, but has now been advanced by a week and will steer clear from any competition against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s, Race 3.
Directed by Pa. Ranjith with music by Santhosh Narayanan, Kaala includes a massive acting talent featuring names like Nana Patekar as the antagonist, Huma Qureshi as the female lead along side Samuthirakani, Shayaji Shinde, Anjali Patil, Easwari Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Ravi Kale, Aravind Akash among others.
