It looks like 83 will be the first movie in which Deepika and Ranvir would appear together after tying the knot. Deepika Padukone has confirmed that she will be playing the role of Kapil Dev's wife Romi Bhatia. The movie, which is based on the historical 1983 worldcup win when the erstwhile team popular as Kapil's Devils were out in the world making India proud, is in its shooting stage and the photos from the locations in Dharmasala have been melting hearts.

Ranvir's fanboy pictures with icons like Kapil Dev (whom he is portraying), Vengsarkar, Vivian Richards, Shane Warne (and they were holding hands too!) were as sweet as the interactions the cast had with the audience at the sets earlier. Folks who watched the historic win on TV may say the star-studded cast is nowhere as handsome as the team that actually won the worldcup, but even they are rather excited about reliving the final dramatic match with the Windies.

Tamil actor Jiiva plays the character of Krishnamachari Srikkanth in this film. Director Kabir Khan's new project is already headed for the larger-than-life spot acquired by his earlier works like Bajrangi Bhaijan and Tubelight. All we now have to do is wait for more cute picture from the cast, hopefully with Deepika Padukone.
