The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday has ordered actress Genelia to appear before the court personally or through her lawyer on or before April 25, in connection with a scam of around Rs. 250 crore.

Earlier, Ch. Tirupataiah filed a complaint alleging that Genelia, the brand ambassador and one of the board directors of Anjaniputra Infrastructure Private Limited, cheated him by faking false promises of constructing two duplex houses at Kalvakol village of Maheswaram mandal for which he paid Rs. 54 lakhs.

The court asked her to explain why her name should not be included in the first information report (FIR). Tirupataiah alleged that the police registered an FIR against directors of the real estate firm but left out Genelia.
