CONTROVERSY: Kerala Police files case against director of sequel of Mohanlal's hit film

Superstar Mohanlal's hit movie Spadikam directed by ace filmmaker Bhadran is considered as a milestone in his career. Lalettan's character Aadu Thoma enjoys a special place among his die-hard fans even now. Meanwhile, newcomer Biju Kattackal stirred up a controversy recently by announcing a sequel to the superhit film. He even released a teaser of this film recently. This peoject is said to be based on the life of Aadu Thoma's son Irumban Sunny. Biju claimed that it will feature popular Bollywood actress Sunny Leone also.
However, following Spadikam director Bhadran's complaint, Kerala cops have filed a case against the young director. In his complaint, Bhadran had alleged that the new teaser of the 'sequel' which was released on You Tube is against the Copy Rights Act. Mohanlal, Nedumudi Venu, Thilakan, Silk Smitha and Manju Warrier played lead roles in Spadikam.
