One of the busiest stars in the industry, actor Sivakarthikeyan’s career took a new swing recently when he announced he would be foraying into film production under the Sivakarthikeyan Productions banner for a venture on women’s cricket being directed by Arunraja Kamaraj.
On the acting front, Sivakarthikeyan is fresh off the success of his Velaikkaran and will next be seen in Seema Raja slated for a release on the festive occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi later this year.
The talented star is also part of a sci-fi film, tentatively being called SK 13, to be directed by Indru Netru Naalai filmmaker R. Ravikumar under RD Raja’s 24AM Studios banner with music by A. R. Rahman.
The last few days have seen substantial developments on SK 13 with the casting of Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead.
Meanwhile, as per latest reports, it is said popular comedian Karunakaran is being eyed to star in the project. Although he had played an astrologer in Ravikumar’s Indru Netru Naalai, the actor has not been featured alongside Sivakarthikeyan even once till date and it would mark a first time association if he is cast in SK 13.
It must be noted Nirav Shah has been announced to handle the cinematography in the film.
Reputed art director T. Muthuraj, who has made a name for himself in films like I, Theri, Remo, Mersal and the upcoming 2.0 has been added to SK 13’s technical roster too.
