One of the most iconic filmmakers our country has ever produced, six-time National Award-winning director Mani Ratnam’s upcoming next has been confirmed to be a multi-starrer and will be jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions with Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman for the musical score.

Having said that, the first look poster as well as the film’s title has now been revealed to be Chekka Chivantha Vaanam in Tamil and Nawab in Telugu by Lyca Productions with filming scheduled to roll out from Monday.

As known already, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has few big names hailing from the south Indian film fraternity starting with Simbu, who has been hitting the gym for the past few days for a toned physique as it is mandatory for his role.

Chekka Chivantha Vaanam said to be a tale about brothers also has 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as one of the male leads and his presence will no doubt add great value.

Jyothika, who will be seen in acclaimed director Bala’s Naachiyaar starting next week is also part of Ratnam’s Nawab and she has been taking part in rehearsal sessions for her role.

Arvind Swami, who has collaborated with Mani Ratnam on few occasions in the past also has a prominent role to play in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

Aishwarya Rajesh is living the time of her life with roles in Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram opposite 'Chiyaan' Vikram and Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai with Dhanush. She too is part of Ratnam’s ensemble cast in Nawab

Aditi Rao Hydari set many hearts fluttering after Kaatru Veliyidai and it’s no surprise why Ratnam has opted her once again for his Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

After impressive performances in Yennai Arindhaal and Kuttram 23, Arun Vijay has landed himself a biggie once again in Nawab

With such a big and electrifying cast, it’s no surprise this film has so much hype from the get go.
