Actor Arun Vijay has proved to be a consistent performer in the last few years with praiseworthy performances starting with Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal in 2015 in which he was the antagonist.


He soon followed the success in 2016 in the medical crime drama, Kuttram 23, as a tough and no-nonsense determined cop.


Fast forward to present times and Arun Vijay is now part of one of the biggest films in the making, Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.


Being made as a bilingual and as Nawab in Telugu, the film has music by A. R. Rahman and is being jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.


In the meantime, Arun Vijay took to his Twitter page a short while back to inform his fans how Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is a landmark film for him.


The actor revealed he initially had plans to reveal details surrounding another big film before his casting in Mani Ratnam’s film. However, the filmmaker called him in to inform he had been cast and thus Chekka Chivantha Vaanam became Arun Vijay’s 25th film in his career.

As fans will know by now, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has an ensemble cast starting with Simbu as one of the lead stars.


'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi is said to be playing a police officer once again after his 2016 hit, Sethupathi.


Jyothika is at the top of the league once again after her performance in director Bala’s Naachiyaar and her addition to CCV’s cast is a big-time plus.


Arvind Swami and Mani Ratnam have collaborated on several occasions in the past and their combo will be one reason fans will look forward to the film.


Aishwarya Rajesh is a hot name in the industry after landing roles in Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram and Dhanush’s Vada Chennai and, her role in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam will be a big boost for her career.


Kaatru Veliyidai showed Aditi Rao Hydari in her true elegance and she will once again be seen in Ratnam’s ongoing film.
