Earlier this week, a formal pooja was conducted for the upcoming historical film, Veeramadevi, starring Bollywood actor Sunny Leone in the titular role.

Veeramadevi, which marks the full length acting debut of Sunny Leone in Tamil, will be directed by V C Vadivudayan under Ponse Stephen's Steeve's Corner banner with music by Amresh Ganesh.

According to reports, Sunny Leone has agreed to a 150 days call sheet to complete her portions in light of Veeramadevi’s release being planned for early 2019.
Meanwhile, a social activist named Inoch Moses lodged a complaint at the Commissioner of Police office in Chennai yesterday under the claim Sunny Leone was promoting pornography. It must be noted the actor is scheduled to take part in a dance programme event on the outskirts of Chennai this weekend.
In his petition, Mr. Moses has requested the actor to be banned from performing on stage stating her pornographic videos are on the internet, which are spoiling the younger generation.
As of now, a response is awaiting from the law authorities on this petition.
