A film that has left everybody curious and excited at the same time right from the moment of its announcement, Thalaivar 165, as it is tentatively being called is expected to commence production sometime next month to be helmed by Karthik Subbaraj under the Sun Pictures banner with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth in the lead role.
Billed as a mammoth project, the makers have also roped in 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi too for a big role in the film, which despite not having a release date at this point, can be expected to hit screens sometime in the second half of 2019.
If that wasn’t enough, Thalaivar 165 also has composer Anirudh Ravichander handling the music with National Award-winning cinematographer Tirru to crank the lens.
Meanwhile, latest reports across certain sections of the media now state actor Bobby Simha, who previously starred in Jigarthanda, which fetched him a National Award for Best Supporting Actor as well as in Karthik Subbaraj’s other film Iraivi has been approached for a role in Thalaivar 165.
Furthermore, actor Sananth Reddy, who appeared in Karthik Subbaraj’s latest film, Mercury, released last month, opposite Indhuja,too is in discussions for a role in the upcoming film.
It must be noted we had yesterday reported actress Simran’s name is in the fray to appear as the heroine opposite Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 165.
