Ace director Bharathiraja is back on the silver screen after 34 years with OM – short form for Old Man. This time apart from wielding the megaphone, he will play the lead role too. In an interview, he revealed that he had finished the script of OM when he did Bommalattam. He also added that a character named Nana Patekar in the film will be having resemblances to his character. Music director NR Raghunathan has recently completed the recording work for the film.
The storyline of OM is about a retired man and his relationship with a young NRI woman during his travel to the United States. OM is a completely different story which is light-hearted and less darker when compared to Bommalattam.
