A film that was under production for a long time, Bhaagamathie was initially set to flag off production before Anushka Shetty went on to be part of Baahubali: The Conclusion, the second highest-grossing film in the history of Indian cinema.

Initially supposed to begin rolling in 2012, Anushka Shetty blames herself for Bhaagamathie to take off so late since she got busy with the Baahubali franchise, Rajinikanth’s Lingaa, Inji Iduppazhagi and Rudhramadevi.

With the film all set for release tomorrow, Anushka Shetty revealed that Bhaagamathie should not be looked over for being similar to Arundhati and the Baahubali films since it is not so as some would like to believe.

She says the only factor she feels that is common between these three films would be the strength of the characters as they are all strong-willed.

Bhaagamathie has Anushka Shetty playing an IAS officer and is a thriller set in contemporary times. The actor states confidently the film will offer something unique to all types of audiences.

Directed by G. Ashok jointly produced by UV Creations and Studio Green, Bhaagamathie stars Jayaram, Unni Mukundan, Asha Sarath, Thalaivasal Vijay among others in vital supporting roles.
