When a film becomes successful in one language, it is a natural progression for it to travel to other states also. It is a tradition that we have seen in Indian cinema year after year. We now hear that Thadam is going to Bollywood. Our sources state that Bollywood filmmakers Murad Khetani and Ashwin Warde have got the remake rights of Thadam and they are currently producing Kabir Singh with Shahid Kapoor which is the remake of Telugu blockbuster film Arjun Reddy.

We were informed that Shahid Kapoor is likely to play the role of Arun Vijay and that he liked the script very much. He is soon expected to sign the project and we will hear an official word on this in the coming months. The film will go on floors in the second half of the year. The unit is looking for a suitable director to helm the process.  Our sources also added that though the Tamil version was set in Chennai, the Hindi one will be set in some place in North India.
