Anurag Kashyap is one of the legendary directors in Bollywood who broke an era of commercial element and ended up making art cult films which were critically acclaimed by the audience. His films Gangs of Wasseypur and Raman Raghav 2.0 have created an impact in the Bollywood.
Recently in Imaikkaa Nodigal he essayed the role of Martin Roy who stole the show in Tamil cinema that too when it’s his debut. We interviewed him about few things and he was very jovial to answer. We asked “Which movie made an encounter in your Life from Tamil Cinema?”
He stated “I used to go to Chennai alot and met many filmmakers. I have worked with Shankar, Mani Ratnam and Rajiv Menon. When the need some help in Bollywood they come to me. I have a very close interaction with Chennai. But my most impactful interaction was Bala’s first film Sethu. It affected me a lot”
