Though, after 20 long years, she agreed to play a role in director Sekhar Kammula's new film Life is Beautiful, Amala Akkineni made it clear that it cannot be counted as a 'comeback'.

"I'm not doing this film to kick start a second innings in films and earn money. I'm also not trying to prove a point. I play a single mother in Sekhar's film and I found the character very inspiring. There is also a message which is subtly interwoven into the film and that is why I have accepted the film," she said in an interview.

Amala also revealed that she already got several offers. "I have already got calls from people. But I will consider them only if the character inspires me and the schedule is kept short. In fact, Sekhar's film had a seven-day schedule."
