All India Cricket Tournament
The Kannada film industry is organizing a cricket tournament involving teams from various film industries of India. The organizing committee is composed of members of the Kannada Cine Artistes' Association, headed by veteran actor Ambareesh, who is also the president of the association. The association met on on November 1st and decided to organize this national level cricket tournament among actors from different industries in the country. The amount raised from this tournament will be used for the Kannada film industry artists' and technicians' association.
The tournament is likely to start on January 8th and continue till January 23rd 2011. Top actors from all the film industries including Kollywood, Tollywood, Mollywood and Bollywood are likely to participate. Teams will be formed by each language film industry. A total of five teams are likely to participate and there will be 10 league matches. Sudeep will be the skipper for Sandalwood team.
The first meeting on 1st November at Bengaluru was attended by all top artists from the Kannada film industry.
