The adulation that filmmaker Mani Ratnam commands across the country is truly astounding. The six-time National Award-winning filmmaker is all set to begin his upcoming next, a multi-starrer which will feature names like Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika, Arvind Swamy, Fahadh Faasil and Aishwarya Rajesh with music by A. R. Rahman.

Few days back, we had reported that rising Malayalam actor Antony Varghese of Angamaly Diaries is being sought after for a special role in the yet-to-be-titled film.

That being, latest reports now state actor Aditi Rao Hydari, who was part of Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai released last year is also being eyed to play a character in the upcoming untitled film, which will roll into production in February-March. It is said she decided to move from Telugu actor Venkatesh’s upcoming film as she wanted to make herself available for the ace director’s film.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that state Lyca Productions will be jointly producing this venture along with Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies banner.
