We had reported a couple of days back that actor Aditi Rao Hydari was being sought after for a role in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming multi-starrer.

And, the news is indeed true. Aditi Rao Hydari will be joining Mani Ratnam’s film after their previous collaboration, Kaatru Veliyidai, which came out last year.

It must be noted that Ratnam will team up once again with A. R. Rahman under the Madras Talkies banner and discussions are reportedly ongoing with Lyca Productions to co-produce the film.

The film’s cast includes Simbu, who in a video unveiled yesterday saw him working out hard at the gym in order to sport a toned physique for his role.

Actor Jyothika too is part of the cast, who has reportedly stated that rehearsal sessions have been going on for a while now.

One of the most popular actors in recent times, 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi has landed a meaty role too.

Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil will want to carry forward the momentum of his performance from Velaikkaran to Ratnam’s film.

Arvind Swami is one of the few artistes who has worked with the ace filmmaker on several occasions.

Aishwarya Rajesh has a couple of big projects in the form of Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram and Dhanush’s Vada Chennai and, Mani Ratnam’s film will be the icing on the cake for the actor in 2018.

With Aditi Rao Hydari now on board, we wonder what the six-time National Award-winning filmmaker has in store.
