Actress Tinaa Dattaa has made a name for herself up in North India and has risen as a notable name in television in the daily soap, Uttaran, playing Iccha, and is now part of the supernatural drama series, Daayan, co-starring Mohit Malhotra. The show premiered on December 18 and has been running successfully under the Balaji Telefilms banner.
Daayan’s lead pair Tinaa Dattaa and Mohit Malhotra play a married couple and have been garnering a positive response with the show being a hit.
That said, Tinaa came up with a shocking allegation against co-star Mohit stating he had indulged in inappropriate action towards her. In an official statement, the actress said, “When we shoot a TV show, there are a lot of problems, big/small/ugly ... I have raised my issues (related to Mohit) with the production team and they have been supportive.”
In his response, Mohit denied all the accusations stating, “If she was uncomfortable, why didn’t she tell me? We shoot on a set with 50 people watching us and everything is on camera. Nothing of this sort happened.” He further added, "Now, she has gone back to giving contrary statements. How can she keep changing her statements? I have been working in the TV industry for 11 years and have shot with many women and no one has ever had any issues with me. It has taken me a long time to reach this stage in my career.”
Even though Tinaa Dattaa and Mohit Malhotra are not in talking terms, they are still shooting for the show and this isn’t new in the Hindi television industry as many stars have had some problem or the other where they still shoot despite not being in talking terms.
