Acclaimed Malayalam director Aashiq Abu is back with his next film, Virus, that has a super exciting star cast. This multistarrer features Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas, Rahman, Parvathy, Indrajith Sukumaran, Soubin Shahir, Rima Kallingal, Indrans, Revathy, Ramya Nambeeshan, Sreenath Bhasi, Madonna Sebastian, Dileesh Pothan, and a lot more. The film is based out of the controversial Nipah virus (2018) that sucked many people's lives in Kerala.

The outbreak became the talk of the town during that time which was later declared to be over on June 10, 2018. The virus was spread among many people, out of which few people lost their lives, while a few got cured. The doctors did their best to eradicate the virus, but couldn't completely save everyone from death. Coming back to the film, Virus is directed by Aashiq Abu, known for his realistic portrayal of emotions through his films.

His last directorial venture was Mayanadhi with Tovino Thomas and Aishwarya Lekshmi that was raved by the critics. The theatrical trailer of Virus has now been released and it is completely intense and promising. The 3-minute promotional video has some serious moments of people running to the hospitals to diagnose the virus disease, while the doctors are seen trying out every possible method to cure it. Kunchacko Boban plays the role of the Head Doctor, Suresh Rajan, while Rima Kallingal plays Sister Lini.

The film is expected to be a hard-hitting one as the trailer's final shot showcases a scene in which people escape themselves from the virus infected people. Aashiq beautifully showcases this scene where humanity takes the backseat and the reality being, survival of the fittest. The cinematography is handled by ace technician Rajeev Ravi and Shyju Khalid and the duo have delivered some impeccable shots. Virus is scheduled to release on June 7. Check out the trailer:
