Aamir Khan’s Dangal is at present the highest-grossing film in Indian cinema history with over 2000 crores in global box office collections.
That said, another film of his, Secret Superstar, in which he did an extended cameo also went on to achieve critical and commercial success. Starring Dangal girl Zaira Wasim in the lead role, the film directed by Advait Chandan under the Aamir Khan Productions banner came out in China on January 19.
Meanwhile, Secret Superstar has now hit a new high in China as the film has made over 500 crores so far in its two week run. It must be noted the film registered a stunning 400 crores collection within the first 10 days of its release.
Aamir Khan’s popularity in China is at unprecedented high after tasting big successes previously with films like Dangal, PK and 3 Idiots.
