Some Hindu outfits had filed a complaint recently with the Police Commissioner of Chennai against the film Aadhi Bhagavan, directed by Ameer featuring Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in the lead roles. They claim that the title of the film is against Hinduism and it might hurt Hindu sentiments leading to social disharmony. Reacting to it, Jayam Ravi clarifies that the film doesn't have even a single scene against any religion and is surprised to learn about the controversy when no one except the crew has watched the film. About the title, he says that his name is Aadhi in the film and thus the title. Director Ameer hopes to solve the issue soon and has no plans of changing the title. Adding that the film will release as planned, the director says that Aadhi Bhagavan is a complete entertainer. The film is scheduled to release on February 14.
