Nimir, the film directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Priyadarshan and starring Udhayanidhi Stalin in the lead role is on its way for a big release.

Produced under the Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainments banner with music by Darbuka Siva and Ajaneesh Loknath, Nimir features Parvatii Nair and Namitha Pramod as the female leads along with filmmaker J. Mahendran appearing in a starring role after playing the villain in Theri followed by Samuthirakani and MS Bhaskar in important supporting roles.

The latest announcement surrounding the Nimir is that the film has cleared the censor test and has been awarded a ‘U’ certificate. This now guarantees the film will be open to audiences across all age groups. The news was made official by Udhayanidhi Stalin on his Twitter page. 

It must be noted that Nimir is an official remake of the highly acclaimed 2016 Malayalam film, Maheshinte Prathikaaram, which had Fahadh Faasil, Aparna Balamurali and Anusree Nair in lead roles.
