Lovingly called by fans as ‘Vaigai Puyal’, Vadivelu went on to become a global phenomenon when the “Pray for Neasamani” hashtag went on to trend across social networking forums. The comedy legend’s name has been in the news of late after he made a few controversial remarks against directors Shankar and Chimbudeven, which have not gone down well with those in the film fraternity. In a response now, cinematographer turned director, Vijay Milton, the man behind the Goli Soda films, took to Twitter to express his disappointment at Vadivelu.

Vijay Milton tweeted saying, “If a sutthiyal (hammer) falls on a person’s head, I guess it will make that person mental even after many years. We have a lot of nesam (love) for you ayya Nesamani. Please don’t kick ladders around you and spoil that. Don’t forget the creators.”
