The Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Starrer 96 directed by C Prem Kumar went to become a huge box office Success due to its fresh script and new concept. The latest reports state that the film will be now remade in Kannada and it will star Ganesh and Bhavana in Lead roles and it will be helmed by ace director Pritam Gabbi.


The film will be remade in Kannada with the title 99. Reports State that Bhavana had said yes to the film even without watching the original version. 99 is produced by Ramu Enterprises and the shooting will commence on December 17. Bhavana had revealed that the remake will not be an exact replica of the original. The makers are trying to wrap up the film soon and are eyeing to release it in March.
