24 is a family entertainer, says Suriya
Suriya's sci-fi thriller 24 is all set for a wide release on May 6. Meanwhile, the actor has revealed that the film will be a Disney-styled family entertainer. "It doesn't get too preachy; the plot does not become complex or complicated, like, say, it does in Inception. But thanks to the narrative, this movie will have the audience buying into the concept. Plus, there's the character of Athreya, who's a villain. He's got negative shades that some people like. At no point will the viewer feel alienated — Vikram has kept it very simple and straightforward," he was quoted saying.
Distributed by Studio Green, the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film will grace in 2150 screens, the highest ever for a Suriya film. Produced by 2D Entertainment and Studio Green, the film has Suriya in three roles, including the antagonist. Directed by Vikram Kumar, songs composed by AR Rahman are already topping the charts.
