‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s 2.0 released last week has turned out to become a massive blockbuster already taking in over 500 crores in worldwide box office collections. A Shankar directorial produced by Lyca Productions with music by A. R. Rahman, the sci-fi action thriller also featured Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar deliver one of the finest performances in recent times alongside the female lead Amy Jackson.

With 2.0 going strong across the world, acclaimed novelist Jeyamohan, who served as the dialogue writer on the Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer provided a detailed explanation on his blog page regarding the film and went on to address the criticisms put forward by many stating that the film has made many who have had no prior no knowledge about science-fiction step up and engage in conversation. The reputed writer declared this according to him is the biggest achievement the film has managed to accomplish.

He went on to add that the film needs to be looked upon first and foremost as a science-fiction work and has been made keeping in mind reality as a context. Jeyamohan further added 2.0 is not really a Tamil film as it has been made for a pan-Indian audience. He says the film has been made for people of the third-world developing countries and has been released in 10,000 theatres across the world and is all set to be released in another 10,000 theatres in China alone in May 2019. As a result, the comedy track, family sentiment elements, romantic angle, which were the core of Enthiran were not included or visible in 2.0, which is more of a global film.
