Thulli Vilaiyadu Movie review
With an ensemble star cast Vincent Selva's Thulli Vilayadu has created a good pre-release buzz in the industry. The film features debutante Yuvraj and Deepthi in the lead roles while Prakashraj and Jayaprakash play an important role in the film. Thulli Vilayadu is produced by Govindraj under RP Studios. Here we take a look...
Raghu (Yuvraj) is an unemployed, care-free young man. His life revolves around his loving sister, irritating setp-mom and a helpless father. Raghu's only support is his two friends, Soori, an aspiring politician and Senrayan, who dreams of becoming an actor. While Raghu awaits an oppurtunity to go abroad for work, his father takes him to local politician Samypillai (Jayaprakash) for a temporary job. Samy (as he is addressed), who is busy with local election works, appoints him as his personal driver. Then there is Samy's most loyal henchman Singam (Prakashraj). The twist in the story comes when IT officers visits Samy's house for raid. Samy asks his men to clear all the illegal money (around 20 crores) from his house who inturn dumps it in a car. Raghu is now assigned the task of taking the money to a nearby town, however he is unaware that his vehicle is carrying a huge sum of money. Suddenly, Singam's goons pop in and takes the money from Raghu, without knowing that the money belongs to Samy. This creates a rift between the two, and finally in this miss-mash ride, around Rs. 18 crores goes missing. Then there is Yamuna (Deepthi), actress Asin's sister, who runs away from home. And now the cat-mouse game begins...
Veteran actors Jayaprakash and Prakashraj prove their versatality. Newcomers Yuvraj and Deepthi are good. The rest of the starcast are adequate. Soori's comedy scenes are too loud. If the director Vincent Selva had concentrated more on the screenplay and story, it could have been better.
