Thodari Movie review
After facing many roadblocks, Dhanush Thodari has finally graced the screens today. The film narrates the story of Poochiappan (Dhanush), a pantry worker in New Delhi-Chennai Superfast, who goes out of his way to save the life of 700 passengers. We also have the innocent Saroja (Keerthi Suresh), touch-up assistant, pantry car supervisor (Thambi Ramaiah), security officer (Harish Uthaman), Union Minister (Radha Ravi) and many others.
Dhanush seems to be the only saving grace in this tacky drama. His comedy timings and effortless acting is definitely a plus.
Among the supporting cast, veteran Radha Ravi and Thambi Ramaiah stand out with their performance.
The rest of the star cast, including Keerthy Suresh, is just average.
Imman's songs are good, however, due to the wrong placements, it goes unnoticed.
We wonder what went wrong with director Prabhu Solomon, who has churned out the brilliant Mynaa and Kumki.
The film lacks substance, the first half is filled with bad comedy timing and silly romance while the pace increases a bit after the train loses its control.
The tacky VFX works are another big let down.
Few unnecessary dialogues that focus on interstate rivalry could have avoided.
There are too many characters that pops which actually takes a toll in the pace of the screenplay.
Slow and not Steady
