Tamilukku En Ondrai Aluthavum Movie review
Tamilukku En Ondrai Aluthavum - the movie with a unique name, starring Nakul, Attakathi Dinesh, Bindu Madhavi, Sathish and Aishwarya Dutta, has hit screens today. This movie, directed by Ramprakash Rayappa and produced by V Chandran of VLS Rock Cinema, is presented by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. Music is by Thaman and cinematography by Deepak Kumar Padhy, while editing is by VJ Sabu Joseph.
This movie is all about three different love stories, intersecting at various points and coming to a heady climax with the threat of terrorism looming large and the role of technology in everyday lives. Mukil (Attakathi Dinesh) is a flat developer, Simi (Bindu Madhavi) is a bank employee who gives counselling to people who are suicidal. Vasanth (Nakul) is an avid science enthusiast, who develops science projects and sells to engineering students and Harini (Aishwarya Dutta) is an engineering student, while Sathish is a naive and simple call taxi driver. In a case of mistaken identity, Simi gives counselling to Mukil and he falls for her. All her classmates buy projects from Vasanth and after an initial aversion, she falls for him. Sathish is engaged to Maha (a sales girl) and by mistake loses his phone to a petty thief who refuses to switch off the phone nor return it to Sathish. A terrorist group plans to bomb an important place in Chennai, after a successful and gory bombing in Tirupathi. They plan to use a cell-phone as a trigger to stimulate the bomb. Simi, while coming to meet Mukil, suddenly falls into a pit and is trapped there. When a solar storm crosses across the earth, all cell phone towers become invalid and there is no cellular communication in the city. Vasanth's basic plan to reconnect cellular services through TV dish antennas and landline phones is chanced upon by a leading cellular service provider and they along with Vasanth and a group of engineering students, try to create the device to bring back cellular connectivity. If connectivity is restored, Simi can escape death but if connectivity returns, the terrorists can trigger the deadly bomb, which has been placed in Sathish's car. What happens next, forms the rest of the story. Watch Tamilukku En Ondrai Aluthavum to know...
The director has taken a very interesting subject - how the sudden stoppage of cellular services can affect a whole lot of people. The way he has told his tale, laced with humour and doused in romance, is appreciable. Nakul is the star of the story and has given a very good performance, sans his regular quirkiness and has underplayed the role to perfection. Attakathi Dinesh has a very breezy role and he has delivered. Bindu Madhavi as the sensitive and pretty Simi is apt. Aishwarya Dutta has a very impressive outing and has acted well. Sathish has a very meaty role and he has aced it. Veterans Urvashi and Manobala lend class to the movie, more so Urvashi, with her lovely performance. Thaman's music is very pleasant and the tracks hummable. The rest of the technical crew have also worked well to give a neat movie.
Tamilukku En Ondrai Aluthavum is definitely worth a watch!
