Oru Nadigaiyin Vaakkumoolam Movie review
Soniya Agarwal's comeback film Oru Nadigayin Vakkumoolam has been creating headlines ever since its launch. The film has created the much needed hype due the actress' high profile divorce with director Selvaraghavan. And the release of Bollywood film The Dirty Picture, in which Vidya Balan enacted the role of an item girl. RJ-producer Punnagai Poo Geetha has taken over the project from its producers recently. The film is directed by Rajakrishna and Aadhisha has composed the music.
TV reporter (Punnagai Poo Geetha) begins her mission to find the whereabouts of actress Anjali (Sonia Agarwal), who suddenly disappeared when she was at the peak of her career. And a series of realities unfolds from Anjali's personal diary.
Anjali hails from a poor family in Andhra Pradesh and her father is a stage actor. Due to family problems Anjali comes to Chennai in search of a big break in Tamil Cinema. But little did she know that a lot of compromise and sacrifices are needed to survive in this field. Finally when Anjali makes it big in Kollywood she realises the true colour of her money minded mother and rest of the people who takes advantage of her. So what happened to Anjali? Watch out in Oru Nadigayin Vakkumoolam.
It's Sonia Agarwal all the way! But unfortunately she fails to deliver a solid performance. She really has to work hard on her facial expressions and body language. Girija as Sonia Agarwal's mother has a meaty role in the film but at times she is very loud. Raj Kapoor, Manobala, Kovai Sarala, and Ganja Karuppu have done their part well while Nicole is not so impressive. Aadesh's music is average while director Rajkrishna could have given more importance to the screenplay to make it more racy and interesting.
