Former Indian international cricketer Yuvraj Singh and his wife Hazel Keech announced on late Tuesday evening that they have been blessed with a baby boy. The news was shared by the couple on their respective social media handles. Taking to Twitter, Hazel, who is best known among Tamil cinema fans for starring in actor Ajith Kumar's Billa, released a statement along with Yuvraj about the big joyous news. Expressing her gratitude, Hazel wrote, "To all our fans, family and friends, We are elated to share that today god blessed us with a baby boy. We thank god for this blessing and wish to respect our privacy as we welcome the little one into the world." She further added, "Love, Hazel and Yuvraj". Here is the tweet:

Yuvraj's post received a lot of warm wishes from fans and members of the cricket fraternity, who congratulated the couple. Former cricketer Irfan Pathan tweeted, "Many congratulations brother. I'm sure you will be an amazing father. Lots of love to the little one. Regards to bhabhi." Likewise, Hazel, who shared the same post on Instagram, was flooded with wishes from a number of celebrities. Actress Pragya Kapoor wrote, "congratulations!!! What wonderful news @hazelkeechofficial @yuvisofficial". Amongst the congratulatory messages that stood out was grandfather Yograj Singh, who sent his warm wishes to his 'champ'. He commented, "Grandfather welcome you little champ.. love you kids @yuvisofficial @hazelkeechofficial" along with heart emojis. 

Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech tied the knot on November 30, 2016, with the actress adopting the name 'Gurbasant Kaur' after their marriage. The name was given by Sant Balvinder Singh during the wedding ceremony. Yuvraj became one of the most successful cricketers in the Indian cricket team's history having played across all formats of the game, including being a part of the 2011 World Cup-winning squad. Hazel, on the other hand, played the role of Rhea in Ajith's Billa, released in 2007, which incidentally was her acting debut. She later made appearances in Salman Khan's Bodyguard and Telugu films like Kick and Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum to name a notable few, while also participating as a contestant on Bigg Boss 7 in 2013.
